Cheongtaesan Natural Recreation Forest

A model national-forest management site centred on Cheongtaesan, which rises to 1,200m. Planted and natural woodland sit well together here, and the variety of wildlife makes it feel like walking into a museum of the natural world.

What it is best known for is the pine forest bathing area. The pines grow tall and straight, the shade stays deep even in summer, and you notice the difference in the air as soon as you set off. It is the kind of place people return to.

Wooden deck paths run through the forest, so you can walk without worrying about wet shoes — especially good the day after rain. There is also an outdoor classroom for young visitors.
